EU-hosted AI – how it works in QWorker

Want to use AI without sending client data to models outside the EU? In QWorker, EU only is switched on when you create an account. Here is what that means in practice.

What does “EU only” mean?

With EU only switched on, the chat only chooses between AI models hosted in the EU. This also applies to background work, for example when a long conversation is summarised.

Models without EU hosting are hidden in the model picker, so you cannot pick one by accident.

Where does the rest of your data live?

The database with your projects, tasks, conversations and files is in the EU (Ireland).

Some optional features use other providers, such as reading scanned documents, speech and fetching web pages. They are only used when you use the feature. The full list is in the privacy policy.

What you control

  • Switch EU only on or off in Settings.
  • Choose which services to connect: email, calendar, files or other tools.
  • Disconnect a service at any time under Integrations.
  • Delete content or your whole account.

Why EU hosting matters

Many clients want to know where their data is processed. When the AI model runs in the EU, it is easier to give a clear answer.

EU hosting does not make everything compliant on its own. You still need to handle purpose, access and deletion. But it removes one of the big uncertainties of using AI.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use global models if I need them?

Yes. Switch on global models in Settings. The chat can then also use models that are not hosted in the EU. You can switch EU only back on at any time.

Which AI models run in the EU?

The model picker in the app shows which models are hosted in the EU. The selection changes as new models arrive, so the list lives in the app rather than on this page.

Is all my data in the EU?

The database is in the EU, and with EU only the chat models run in the EU. A few optional features use providers outside the EU when you use them. See the list in the privacy policy.
